hello, my name is ravine. i love art, music, animals, and various crafts (including witchcraft.) i often draw and make clothing, and i'm very passionate about photography. i also greatly enjoy writing, as it's something i've done creatively for practically as long as i've been able to form an interest in any topic. i adore old technology and internet, and despise the modern versions of those. i do not engage in social media or feed algorithms of such by relying upon a machine to find topics that interest me. i am a goth, but my music taste is certainly not just limited to that. i also greatly enjoy industrial, riot grrrl, metal (doom and melodic death metal), and even jpop. along with more than that, but listing every genre i have a slight interest in would be pointless. unfortunately, i live in america. most of the time, i can't find a tv show which i'd get so invested in that i can dedicate so much time to its entirety, so i generally prefer movies. but some shows that i like are gravity falls, the simpsons, the powerpuff girls, and daria.

retro video games have my heart. i grew up with a super nintendo, so all of the non-super nintendo games i enjoy, i played at the very least as a preteen. my favorite super nintendo game is diddy's kong quest (by the way, that game's soundtrack is perfect.) i also love the original mario kart, f-zero, donkey kong country, castlevania IV, and i like all of the punch-out games. past super nintendo games, i really love final fantasy VII and VIII, i could go on about those for hours (just ask me how i feel about laguna loire. i don't recommend doing so.) i also grew up playing old DOS games, such as bouncing babies, space quest, and king's quest 1-3. the entire site of neopets, in general, is very dear to me as well.

there are quite a bit of movies i've seen, but i'm generally afraid to seek out new movies and then learn that i've wasted time by watching something i ended up not enjoying. because of that, these are the ones i rewatch: jawbreaker (1999), saw (2004), thelma and louise (1991), interview with the vampire (1994), the crow (1994), house on haunted hill (1999), scream (1996), se7en (1995), the ring (2002), dark water (2002), bound (1996), alien (1979), fight club (1999), freeway (1996), final destination (2000), the terminator (1984), terminator 2 (1991), but i'm a cheerleader (1999), lost highway (1997), detroit rock city (1999), the matrix (1999), identity (2003), jeepers creepers (2003), the craft (1996), requiem for a dream (2000), ginger snaps (2000) i absolutely adore that specific genre of late 90s-early 00s movies with eerie green lighting and heavy industrial or metal soundtracks. i wish i could live in that type of movie.
