SaW

i love these movies...

(sleeping with the one with adam stanheight closest to me)

i think saw is the only movie series i'm super into, can't say i've really gotten super invested in any others...

the first movie is, without a doubt, my favorite. i could make an entire page just dedicated to that movie. which actually might be what this turns into because i could go on about it forever. the soundtrack is PERFECT, charlie clouser did an exceptional job. of course i'd think that, though, as a huge fan of nine inch nails and industrial music in general.

i think the saw movies are sort of a theatrical representation of industrial music. the fact that's the genre the soundtracks are, along with the fact that the visuals don't look like something you haven't seen in the music video of some 90s industrial band. saw visuals remind me a lot of marilyn manson's antichrist superstar era music videos, i assume visuals like that were an inspiration since they were fairly popular around the same era.

why'd the whole green lighting, heavy soundtrack movie trend end? lol. i've always want to live in a movie like that, ugh.

i've made a decent amount of graphics related to saw, especially lately, as the visuals are so fun to work with.

he looks soooo fucking good in a reverse bear trap

i've still yet to write any fanfiction about saw, but i've really been meaning to as i've probably read two fanfics about it that i've actually found remotely enjoyable. i'm quite picky in terms of quality (reasonably so) and i'm just not fond of fix-it fanfics or really anything without a physically painful amount of angst. what else could possibly suit those movies?

give me something psychological, horrific with the faintest romantic subtext.

i say this in spite of being someone who had a shakespeare phase, adam and lawrence are my romeo and juliet.

^ i had to use this gif eventually, i'm surprised i lasted a few paragraphs before pulling it out. aren't you? ^

enough about those dudes for now, did i mention i really love amanda? i do not think i've mentioned that yet, but that's important.

really proud of the job i did at combining these separate gifs, lol

for a lot of bad reasons, i can relate to amanda quite a bit. maybe not the whole aspect of being murderous in favor of a man, but i suppose we still have a lot of the same problems. i adore "insane" women in media, they're a lot more relatable than the girl next door. of course i'm not going to find that relatable, i'm a person. so naturally, i'm going to favor the pathetic, manic, junkie type.

i also like to believe that she cut off her hair during a psychotic break, because those things tend to happen. i would know as i had done that before i ingrained it into my mind that my hair is the most precious thing and now i'd rather die than do so much as trim it, lol. but my point still stands. i love that look for her.

i just find her so attractive like this ^__^

for some reason, i watched saw 2 first. at least in a way. i'd seen the ending to the first one when i woke up to my brother watching it and finishing it up, so i suppose i'd spoilers from the start lol. but when i actually decided to go and check out the movies for myself, i started one night with the second and third for some reason. i believe it's because i heard about the needle pit trap, and at the time i was, for want of a better term, obsessed with syringes (lol).

on the topic of the first movie, i love how hesitant adam was to give any information about himself to lawrence. despite "spying" on him, adam was treating lawrence like he was the shady one who cannot be trusted with information. had the letter with the tape not read "adam," i would've entirely believed he was lying about his name. he never even told lawrence his last name, which i find to be an interesting contrast with lawrence immediately introducing himself with his full name.

also, i am not sure why, but when i first watched saw, i thought they were the same age lol

it's a bit unfortunate that there's only a short scene where they're both in frame together (but i suppose as it's perfect, that compensates for the fact) so there's not a great deal of material for me to work with for graphics related to them. i'm pretty sure i've used most of the potential for graphics of saw 0.5, but i'm sure i'll find other stuff to work with. i also have yet to make any saw related art, but if i do, i figure i'll share it on here.

anyway, for some horrific reason, this is the order in which i've watched the movies:

II

III

I

IV

V

VII

VI

these are the only ones i've seen at the moment. i update my website almost religiously, so if i watched another, you would be informed.

thank you to my mother, who purchased all of the saw dvds i have

i will, of course, add more and more to this page when i can think of it, or when i make more graphics or whatever.

don't leave me!!!
