i love these movies...

i think saw is the only movie series i'm super into, can't say i've really gotten super invested in any others...

the first movie is, without a doubt, my favorite. i could make an entire page just dedicated to that movie. which actually might be what this turns into because i could go on about it forever. the soundtrack is PERFECT, charlie clouser did an exceptional job. of course i'd think that, though, as a huge fan of nine inch nails and industrial music in general.

i think the saw movies are sort of a theatrical representation of industrial music. the fact that's the genre the soundtracks are, along with the fact that the visuals don't look like something you haven't seen in the music video of some 90s industrial band. marilyn manson's antichrist superstar era music videos remind me a lot of saw visuals, i assume visuals like that were an inspiration since they were fairly popular around the same era.

why'd the whole green lighting, heavy soundtrack movie trend end? lol. i've always want to live in a movie like that, ugh.
